Whoa! I’m all the way up to 6th! How exiting for me! I assume there’s a monetary award of some size waiting for me, right?

Daniel,
I know your academics (I do have mine also, they are just very conservative) but can I suggest reading John MacArthur’s new book: What DID Jesus Do? I am always first a pastor-teacher.

Thanks for the comment Fr. Robert. If I have time to look at the book I will, but I doubt it will be any time soon. My term starts in a little over a week, and right now I’m pulling my hair out trying to get my family over to the UK.
I understand that you’re a pastor before an academic, and I take no issue with that. When I am commenting on my and other blogs I am always an academic first. Perhaps just getting that out in the open will help in the future.

Congrats!

Thank you, sir. I will try to make the academy proud.

You have to be cheating. What’s your secret?

I have a small number of posts that continue to get a lot of hits, but I’m just as shocked as anyone else.

Which ones get lots of hits?

PS..for the blog that book by John MacArthur was/is The Jesus You Can’t Ignore.

Ah, that’s it. I couldn’t find a book by the other name. Thanks.

Pat-
My SBL Affiliation roundup is popular, as is my old Decoupling YHWH and El post. My post about Joseph-Era Coins is new, but gets around 75 hits day. For some reason, the cartoon I posted about Noah and the dinosaurs is also very popular. I don’t really see a pattern there.

You have a great blog so your spot in the top 10 is well deserved. If there was a monetary award then I better try a whole lot harder 🙂

Thanks for the kind words, Mike. My blog would have to be much more popular to get paid for it, but if I could figure out how to get that Amazon.com widget on here I might get some book subsidies.

Daniel: I think all you have to do is sign up as an Amazon Associate–that’s all I did.

But doesn’t WordPress have trouble with outside widgets? I’ll check it out, though, thanks.

Daniel: Once you sign up, get the HTML for the widget you want and paste it in a Text widget from your dashboard. That’s it!
