Hey, everybody! I will be offering a live online class addressing the Israelite goddess Asherah on Thursday, September 15, from 7–8:30 PM (mountain time). This class will discuss the textual and other material evidence for the early recognition and worship of Asherah as an Israelite goddess and the partner (or wife) of YHWH, the God of Israel. It will also discuss theories of the later marginalization, vilification, and alteration of their worship. There will be a 1-hour lecture over Zoom, followed by a 30-minute moderated Q&A session. I’m offering the class on a pay-what-you-can basis, with a minimum donation of $1. The link to register for the class is here. I’ve already signed up, but I have a suggestion. On your IG Reel, you said that it’s on a “pay what you can” basis, but there are payment options only for the $1 minimum or the $25 suggested donation. I think a “custom amount” button would be a good thing to add if it’s possible. I’m sure there are people out there for whom $25 is a bit much, but they’d be happy to pay more than $1. There may also be people who would love to pay more! A “fill-in-the-blank” donation button would make those options easy…

Thanks so much for the feedback! The page has a button with $0.00 in it that is a bit greyed out, and that button allows someone to enter their own amount. It’s not incredibly clear, though. The website is new to me and I’m still trying to get the UX to be more intuitive and friendly.
